Investing in the Health of the Community
The Memorial Health System Foundation was created in 2001 to meet the ever-increasing demands for community-based health care. While Memorial Health System is owned by the City of Colorado Springs, it receives no taxpayer support. In addition, Memorial Health System treats everyone - regardless of ability to pay. And finally, 100 percent of the revenue generated by Memorial Health System is reinvested in health care services for the community.
The Memorial Health System Foundation urges you to consider a donation to this life-saving and life-changing organization. Your donation goes directly to programs and facilities that impact the health and wellbeing of your family, friends and neighbors in southern Colorado.
Where Your Money Is Spent
While your donations to the Memorial Health System Foundation benefit the entire system, there are currently several areas of focus:
- Memorial Hospital for Children in Partnership with the Children's Hospital
- Memorial Hospital North
- Medical services to include heart and vascular care, cancer care (including integrative therapies), emergency and trauma care, women's/maternal care, infant care, pediatric care and rehabilitation
- Wellness and community outreach
- Chronic disease management
Listen to the podcast interview with Chris Bartlett, M.D., about the importance of digital mammography to help detect breast cancer at the earliest stage possible (.mp3/8:45)- a community need identified and funded by Memorial Health System Foundation donors.
Of course, you can tell us how you'd like to apply your donation.
